Broadcast from April 2015, The Heroic Legend of Arslan has won a great deal of popularity thanks to its magnificent story and world view. The show is now set to collaborate with mail order ramen store Takumen.com which is known for its authentic ramen. The collaboration ramen noodles will be called “Ars Ramen Senki” - a pun on the show’s Japanese title, Arslan Senki, and went on sale July 24. With such an eye-catching title they’re sure to attract attention.
The collaboration noodles will be sold as sets both by mail order and in physical stores. Dishes and restaurants offering the special noodles include: “Gekikara Tobanjan Ginkamen (noodles)” at Tsunatori Monogatari in Hokkaido; “Marudanfu, Marudan (Senshi no Naka no Senshi)” at Tonkotsu Ramen Jagura in Tokyo; “Kirei Naru Midori no Tsukemen - Pulse no Kaze” at Ramen Hajime Tokyo, and “Ars Ramen” at Yasai Ramen Himawari also in Tokyo. Osaka is getting in on the action too with Saishiki Ramen Kinsei offering “Zengun Totsugeki! Maruzubanmen,” “Honno no Kokui, Daryun Tsukemen” at Karakuchi Gachi Miso Niku Soba Hiru Dora, and “Hiyashi Arslan Ramen - Shonen wa Soshite Ou to Naru” at Nakamura Shoten. The noodles will also be available in Aichi where Menya Kitara will be serving “Battlefield Noodle - Atoropatene no Kaisen,” and Fukuoka where Ramen Kurume will offer “Soukatana Shougun (Tarheel).”
When you order the special collaboration noodles, you’ll also receive a Heroic Legend of Arslan original postcard as a special gift. There are seven different ramen related illustrations available of which you’ll receive one and as they’re exclusive designs they’re attracting a lot of attention.
Also at Saishiki Ramen Kinsei and Karakuchi Gachi Miso Niku Soba Hiru Dora when you order two meals you’ll get a free tote bag which features an illustration of Arslan carrying ramen. His cape, fluttering in the wind, has a naruto patterned lining too - a sight you can only see as part of this collaboration.
