Gatchaman Crowds Insight broadcast begins in July; teaser visual released
The masterpiece anime Gatchaman is coming to the world in the form of a new sequel this year. The broadcast period for the new TV anime Gatchaman Crowds Insight has been confirmed. The anime will broadcast this July on Nippon TV and other networks. In addition to this, a teaser visual has also been made available, and the latest information on the main staff and more was also announced.
The teaser visual to Gatchaman Crowds Insight shows all the main characters with a focus on protagonist Hajime Ichinose. The artwork has been drawn to closely resemble the visual to the first season through Hajime’s characteristic posing and more.
Continuing as director is Kenji Nakamura. Many of the same staff members from season 1 are also returning, including series composer Toshiya Ono, character planner Kinako, character designer/chief animation director Yuichi Takahashi, and G-Suit designers Koji Nakakita and Kenji Ando. Producing the anime is Tatsunoko Production. This staff lineup will answer fans’ expectations.
There are also related projects heating up to go along with the fall 2015 broadcast. The “Gatchaman Crowds Special Price Edition” Blu-ray of season 1 will go on sale May 27. Included are all 12 episodes plus a special episode with a new ending titled “#12DC Embrace.” The jacket will feature specially drawn artwork. The Blu-ray costs 10,000 yen (plus tax).
It has also been revealed that the Galax-Z, the beloved car of character Rui Ninomiya, will be made into a Dream Tomika. The car features a characteristic white and red body design, and a point of interest will be how it it used in the new series.
A joint shop between Gatchaman Crowds Insight and Yatterman Night will be open for a limited time at Marui City Shibuya beginning on April 5. The shop will have merchandise themed on these two masterpieces that represent Tatsunoko Production. With limited edition items and merchandise available in advance, fans won’t want to miss out.
