The world’s first Otaku Expo, an event gathering otaku from Japan and abroad under one roof, will be held as a special project of Comiket Special 6 ~ Otaku Summit 2015 to be held on March 28 and 29 at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex.
The event will include displays by participating groups from Western and Asian countries, a presentation introducing the appeal of the event, and other activities taking place. Symposiums by experts in the fields of manga, anime, games, and doujinshi will also be held. Additionally, the Otaku Japan Tourism Association, a host of municipalities, tourism boards, and other organizations from all over Japan related to anime and manga, will be linked with the Comiket 40th Anniversary Booth, which introduces the history so far of Comiket.
