Trailer Released for ‘Garo: Gold Storm Sho,’ Features Ryuga's Gold Armor Form

Garo: Gold Storm Sho will be released in theaters on Saturday, March 28. It’s the latest installment of the popular Garo series. This new film will serve as a prequel to the new television series of the same name that begins airing in April. It tells the origin story of Golden Knight Garo Sho. It’s certainly a must-see for fans of this long-running series.

Garo is an adult-oriented tokusatsu TV series that was first broadcast in 25 episodes in 2005. The series is created and directed by Keita Amemiya, who has previously done such series as Kamen Rider Black, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, as well as character design for video games.

Due to the original show's popularity it was then turned into a series with subsequent releases including Garo: Makai Senki, and Garo: Makai no Hana. It was also adapted into a TV anime in October 2014. The world of Garo continues to expand.

The new film, Garo: Gold Storm Sho is a continuation of the 2013 TV series, Garo: Yami o Terasu Mono, with Ryuga Dogai once again leading the story as the main protagonist. The cast includes Wataru Kuriyama as Ryuga Dougai, Miki Nanri as Makai Priestess Rian, Kuwae Sakina as Makai Priestess Ryume, Shunya Isaka as Madougu Agou. The guest actors in every installment always attract a lot of attention, and this time they include Shigeru Izumiya as mystery kebab shop owner Ringo D, as well as his partner Mrs. Yukihime played by Momoko Kuroki. Furthermore, Akira Emoto will play Priest Soutatsu, and comedy duo 2700 will also make an appearance.

The opening and ending theme music for the film was written by JAM Project. As always, it’s sure to be a gripping and mature tokusatsu film. With the new TV series beginning in April, there’s even more in store for Garo fans to get excited about.
