Information on the original TV anime Punchline to broadcast from April 2015 was officially announced on Thursday, Nov. 27 at the Noitamina Project Press Conference 2015.
The original work is by Fuji TV and MAGES, which developed the science adventure games Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes. Kotaro Uchikoshi, who worked on the celebrated masterpiece Ever17, was announced as scriptwriter. The director is Yutaka Uemura of The Mystic Archives of Dantalian fame, and producing the anime is MAPPA of Rage of Bahamut and Kids on the Slope fame. The character designer will be Shota Iwasaki who has been in charge of original designs on various anime. And in charge of music is a standout musician of this generation who has created countless hits: Tetsuya Komuro.
Noitamina’s lineup for July 2015 and after was also announced at the press conference. Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace is based on the works of Edogawa Ranpo, the 50th anniversary since his passing will be marked next July, and the director and scriptwriter were announced to be Seiji Kishi and Makoto Uezu, respectively, with Lerche in charge of production. This is the team that worked on Persona 4: The Animation, Humanity Has Declined, and Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
Subete ga F ni Naru (also known as The Perfect Insider) is an anime adaptation of a novel by modern drama novelist Hiroshi Mori, and it will be directed by Mamoru Kanbe of Elfen Lied and Kimi to Boku fame and produced by A-1 Pictures.
Kotetsujo no Kabaneri is a completely new, original anime, and it will be directed by Tetsuro Araki, with Ichiro Okochi as the scriptwriter and Wit Studio producing. Being that this is an original anime created by the strong team behind Attack on Titan––director Araki and Wit Studio––it seems there is much to anticipate. This is still time before the broadcast of these three anime. First up to look forward to is Punchline beginning in April.
