“Eiichiro Oda’s Sketch Corner” Serialization Begins in Celebration of One Piece.com’s 1st Anniversary

One Piece.com, a portal site for all things One Piece, opened one year ago in November 2013. In celebration of this, author Eiichiro Oda’s first web serialization, “Eiichiro Oda’s Sketch Corner,” has begun. These illustrations that have fans watering at the mouth and can only be seen on the members’ page will likely become the standout content of the site.

A signed drawing by Eiichiro Oda to celebrate One Piece.com’s first anniversary has been revealed. This stylish illustration is of Luffy sticking up his pointer finger in celebration of the first anniversary. Moreover, “Eiichiro Oda’s Sketch Corner” will include current works you can’t by any means see anywhere else, and it will be updated periodically with rare sketches. This is the first web serialization for Oda and, in addition to his serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump, it is an enjoyable one.

Also beginning on Nov. 11 (Tues.) was “Zoro’s Three Sword Bisection”––the first column by Zoro’s voice actor, Kazuya Nakai––in celebration of Zoro’s birthday. Regarding this column in which he gives advice about readers’ troubles, Nakai revealed his enthusiasm by commenting, “I’m interested in seeing what everyone wants to ask either me or Zoro, so I’m looking forward to it.”

Various other projects are underway on other sites as well. Enjoy the series from every angle through a column by Usopp’s voice actor, Kappei Yamaguchi, called “Usopp’s, it’s Real!”; a column by One Piece fanatic Gregg, who’s on par with an editors of the series when it comes to One Piece knowledge, called “Gregg-sensei’s Super OP Course!”; and more. The membership page also has a collection of anime documents, and a present campaign. Make sure not to miss One Piece.com’s content, which has been powered up even more for the first anniversary.

Comment from Kazuya Nakai:
“One Piece.com has turned one, and it seems a new column is about to begin! The column will be me answering everyone’s troubles. Will Zoro really be the one to answer, or will I answer?... I hope I don’t get any questions from people suffering from serious problems (haha). Well, there are many troubles in the world, and I think it will be helpful no matter the opinion. So I hope you’ll send whatever’s on your mind. I’m interested in seeing what everyone wants to ask either me or Zoro, so I’m looking forward to it. But I’m really thinking ‘Why did it have to be this!’ (haha)”
