The dark fantasy Akame ga Kill! which is currently serializing in the monthly magazine Gangan Joker (Square Enix) is becoming an anime. The TV broadcast will begin on Tokyo MX at 24:00 on July 6. An event commemorating the anime adaptation and the start of the broadcast will be held in Akihabara. A stamp rally taking place throughout Akihabara will begin on June 28.

The stamp rally is a project associated with the favorite word of main character Akame, “bury.” Participants will gather stamps from participating stores scattered throughout Akihabara. There are 17 participating stores, which are divided into four blocks. Those who collect at least two stamps from each block for a total of eight stamps will be entered into a raffle. The winners of the raffle will receive prizes that include signed colored paper and signed volumes of the manga.

Also prepared are enjoyable original goods featuring nine different illustrations of the characters that will be given out as participation prizes. Blank stamp forms are published in the free magazine Rajikan that was distributed all over Akihabara on June 10. Take note that prizes will be given on a first come, first served basis.

An advance screening of the anime will also take place at Toho Cinemas Nihonbashi on June 28, the start date for the stamp rally. In addition to Sora Amamiya who plays Akame, it has been revealed that Satomi Akesaka who plays Esdeath, a brutal high-ranking official of the Empire, will be a guest at the event. These two are likely to give an inside look into the postrecording. Tickets will go on sale June 19 at 24:00 (JST) on the online ticket site Vit. General seating is 2,500 yen and premium box seats are 3,200 yen. Sales will begin at theater box offices on June 20 only in the event that there are seats remaining.
