Keep an eye out for forthcoming information on the broadcast times, cast, and staff.

Serialization of Akame ga Kill!, written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro, began in 2010. The popular work currently spans 9 volumes. The work is gathering ardent support from fans due to the story by Takahiro, who has created many hugely successful games including Tsuyokiss and Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!, and the fascinating characters and action by Tashiro.

The story follows a group of assassins called Night Raid who stand up to destroy corruption and depravity in the Empire. Two members of this group, main character Tatsumi and heroine Akame, use special weapons called Teigu and mercilessly kill all those responsible. A spin-off work titled Akame ga Kill! Zero (author: Takahiro / illustrator: Tetsuya Tashiro) is also serialized in Monthly Big Gangan and this story expands on the series’ world. It’s safe to say that this is one series that fans can look forward to future developments from.

A gallantly posed Akame can be seen on the official teaser site. Her trademark black hair and red eyes are impressive. The site has been done up to raise anticipation for the TV anime. A portion of Akame ga Kill! and the spin-off work Akame ga Kill! Zero can be read on the official sites for Gangan Joker and Monthly Big Gangan. Prepare for the TV anime by enjoying these original works. Akame ga Kill! is also on the cover of the February issue of Gangan Joker on sale Jan. 22 which greatly talks about the anime adaptation. As a bonus, this issue also comes with a “Beauty Girls Clear Bookmark,” an item that is not to be missed.
