FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster for the PS Vita was released in Japan on Dec. 26, 2013. It will be released in North America and Europe in March 2014.
To market the game, Sony aired this commercial in Japan. It highlights a number of tearful goodbyes––some happy, some sad. These real-life relationships and farewells bring to mind the connection between FF X's main characters, Tidus and Yuna. The commercial can be viewed on YouTube.
In the background of all of these goodbyes, you can hear the FF X theme song, "To Zanarkand." For those of us who remember this song when the game was first released so many years ago, a feeling of nostalgia comes over us. It expresses the powerful connection and association that video game music can make in our real-life experiences. It's a very well-made commercial, an interesting way to market the game, and possibly the most touching FINAL FANTASY commercial I have ever seen.
