On Dec. 10, Namco Bandai Games released the smartphone app Gundam Conquest on iOS and Android. The game is free to play, but there are microtransactions for items. Syncing up with the release, five campaigns are currently ongoing in which players can receive items for registering and inviting friends. More information on these can be found on the app’s official site.
The app is a collaboration between Sega’s popular action simulation game series Kingdom Conquest, which includes Kingdom Conquest (iOS / Android) and the currently in service Kingdom Conquest II (iOS / Android), and popular characters from Mobile Suit Gundam. The game includes a simulation part in which players create colonies of homes and factories and an action part in which players pilot Gundams all with the goal of creating the strongest faction.
The game system more or less follows the flow of the Kingdom Conquest series, with up to four players able to fight in real time during the action parts. The multifaceted battles in which players can freely use attacks, boosts, and skills is likely to make the game even more intense.
