The TV broadcast of the anime Golden Time will begin on Oct. 3 on MBS, Tokyo MX, and other networks. It has now been revealed that Yui Horie, who is also playing the role of Kōko Kaga in the anime, will be in charge of the anime’s opening and ending themes. The titles of the songs are “Golden Time” and “Sweet & Sweet Cherry.” It was also announced that a single containing both of these songs will be released on Nov. 13.
The CD single will come as a limited first edition and a regular edition. In addition to the opening and ending themes to the anime, karaoke versions of these songs will also be included, bringing the tracklist of the single to four songs. The limited first edition of the CD will come with a music video DVD of the song “Golden Time.”
Golden Time is a series written by Yuyuko Takemiya who is known for the series Toradora! The story is a love comedy that depicts a refreshing and painful romance in a college setting. Due to Toradora! also becoming a big hit and getting an anime adaptation, expectations are high for the anime adaptation of Golden Time.
The anime is being directed by Chiaki Kon, with series composition by Fumihiko Shimo, character designs by Shinya Hasegawa, and produced by J.C. Staff. Furthermore, Yukari Hashimoto is in charge of the music, the sound director is Jin Aketagawa, and sound production is being handled by Magic Capsule.
In addition to Yui Horie, the main cast is comprised of wonderful talent that includes Makoto Furukawa as Banri Tada, Ai Kayano as Nana Hayashida, Kaito Ishikawa as Mitsuo Yanagisawa, Takahiro Hikami as Nijigen, and Satomi Satō as Nana.
