Thoughts toward swimming change - four childhood friends meet, and the story begins
The story begins retrospectively from Nanase Haruka’s elementary school days swimming in the pool. As an elementary school student going to swimming club, he meets Rin. However, once a high school student, Haruka puts his swimsuit on in the bathroom and immerses himself in the water. Together with his childhood friend Tachibana Makoto, he has stopped competitive swimming and their high school days pass by idly.
On the second day of their first term as second years, Hazuki Nagisa who was their junior in swimming club appears before the two boys and tells them that the swimming club they used to go to in elementary school is going to be disbanded. The three boys go out to look for the time capsule they buried together in elementary school and creep into the swimming club which has fallen into ruin. There, Matsuoka Rin, who had gone to study abroad in Australia, appears in front of them. Even meeting again suddenly after a long time, Haruka and Rin decide to have a swim off, but there is no water in the pool.
The next day, they look for Rin at Iwatobi High School, but only find his younger sister, Gou. The three boys find out that Rin goes to Samezuka Academy and they go there. That night, Haruka, Makoto, and Nagisa go into Samezuka Academy’s indoor pool and swim as they please. Haruka and Rin confront each other again there....!
Oldcodex, voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki’s (Tachibana Makoto) band, are providing the opening theme. The ending theme will be sung by the five central characters. The ending theme especially is completely the reverse of the song “Splash Free” - you will be shocked by its desert imagery.
