Donyatsu is a manga created by Kozaki Yusuke and is currently serialized in the Square Enix magazine Young Gangan. Now, the first episode of the short anime adaptation and a second version of the ending theme is available for fans to enjoy via the Donyatsu official YouTube channel.
The first episode begins in a demolished Tokyo as good friends Donyatsu (CV: Yukari Tamura) and Begaru (CV: Keiji Fujiwara) try playing a game of catch. That’s right, that cat has a chocolate-dipped donut body, and the other – a bagel! It turns out not to be an average game of catch... The first episode leaves viewers wondering where all the humans went and what happened to the world.
The Donyatsu official site’s character page includes illustrations of additional adorable characters including a bear with a macaron body and a cat with a baumkuchen body.
