On July 1, Namco Bandai Games released the package visual and information on the initial enclosed bonus of the PS3 game Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai HappyenD (shortened to Oreimo HD), which will be released on Sept. 26.
The newly released package visual features Kousaka Kirino and the other heroines dressed in original idol costumes for the game. The characters’ enthusiastic facial expressions are another point to take notice of. Hiro Kanzaki, the illustrator of the original work for Oreimo supervised the design of the package art.
Oreimo HD is the third game in the Oreimo series, which began as a light novel by author Tsukasa Fushimi. In addition to the games, the work has also been adapted into manga and anime, the third season of which is currently broadcasting to rave reviews. For this third game, Fushimi lent his support to offer fans one last chance to enjoy outrageous “life counseling” for the heroines that will include Kyosuke becoming their manager as he struggles to train them as “top class” idols! There will be five heroines in Oreimo HD: Kirino, Kuroneko, Ayase, Kanako, and Manami. What kind of idols will Kyosuke be able to turn these five into?!
As an enclosed bonus, the product code on Oreimo HD will give players access to event CG and CG commentary from the PSP game series Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable to be able to enjoy in Oreimo HD. This is a chance for fans to fully enjoy many of those games’ CG in HD quality, so fans should definitely take note.
Also, a limited edition of the game, called “Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Happy End Complete! Box,” will be released as well. This version will be stuffed full of bonus items fans will not want to miss, including an originally drawn box, a booklet of complete game visuals, a special audio CD, a special bonus footage Blu-ray disc, and more! This version of the game will cost 10,980 yen (tax included).
It has also been announced that a download-only version of the regular edition of the game will also be released. For a limited time from launch day until the end of November, this version will be available for a reduced price of 6,980 yen while the disc version will cost 7,480 yen (both prices include tax).
