Gathering attention for being the conclusion to the anime, Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya will release in theaters in Japan on July 6. In celebration of this, from June 22 to July 28 Animate is holding a Gintama fair.
Through the duration of the fair at Animate locations throughout Japan, those who purchase or pre-order 1,000 yen worth of Gintama-related goods will receive a sheet of stickers as a bonus present. The stickers come in six variations: Gintoki, Shinpachi & Kagura, Hijikata, Okita, Kondo & Yamazaki, and Katsura & Elizabeth.
A special shop has also been set up in Animate Ikebukuro and Animate Sapporo. In these shops are displays of original pictures and character panels from the Gintama anime, a game area where fans can win special prizes, and related goods for sale, as well as a limited item called “Shinsengumi Bamboo Fan.” Those who purchase more than 1,000 yen worth of goods in this special shop will receive, in addition to the aforementioned bonus sticker sheet, a limited Shiroyasha sticker sheet.
Also, Animate Shibuya and the five Animate stores in Hokkaido are holding an original campaign. The Shibuya store is giving out a sheet of “Casually Dressed Gintoki, Casually Dressed Hijikata” stickers and the five Hokkaido stores are giving out a sheet of “Grade 3 Class Z” stickers as presents. The conditions for obtaining these stickers and the other common bonus stickers previously mentioned are the same, and they are given out at the same time. The duration of the fair and this campaign also varies by store, but more information can be found on the official site.
There will also be a campaign held to tie in with the movie. From July 6-28 at Animate locations throughout Japan as well as at the Animate-owned cosplay shop ACOS, upon checkout, when customers present a ticket stub to the movie along with their Animate Card, they will receive, on a first come first served basis, a Yorozuya sticker as a free gift. It seems like this summer will be a busy one for Gintama fans.
