Anime Song Column 6: DJ Kazu Discusses “Kimi e to Tsunagu Kokoro”

The balance of the three singers is exquisite and super nice! At any rate, cute!

The choir of the three and the solo parts both feel like they were recorded nicely. Among the songs included on J-Anison Shinkyoku Matsuri, this song is the youngest in the world of anime.

The order of this song was connected to the Mitsudomoe middle school students, and it was decided on quickly with a “This is it!” feeling. This song has a “should be more appreciated” tag on it on Nico Nico Douga (laughs). I really like it and I think it’s very famous. Although there is a little loneliness in it, it transmits a comfortably warming, gentle feeling, and the elegant simplicity kinda makes you want to cry. I’m absolutely sure everyone likes chorus songs, but the combination of these three people is something rare you don’t see everyday. Having Toyosaki, Kugimiya, and even Mizuhara together is very interesting!

I love the elegantly simple melody of “Kimi e to Tsunagu Kokoro”! The English that frequently comes into the A melody is also addictive in a way. This is a song you might want to listen to comfortably with your headphones on.

This song is sung by Nakamachi Kana (Aki Toyosaki), Amano Saki (Kaoru Mizuhara), and Kujiin Mika (Rie Kugimiya).
