Manga Adaptation of “Neon Genesis Evangelion” Triumphantly Comes to an End in New Issue of Young Ace

The manga for Neon Genesis Evangelion (author: Yoshiyuki Sadamoto; original work: Khara, Gainax) has come to an end in the July issue of Young Ace that went on sale on June 4.

Nicknamed “Sadamoto’s Eva,” the manga for Neon Genesis Evangelion began serialization in Monthly Young Ace in 1994 and transferred to Young Ace in 2009. The manga disappeared for long periods of a year or more several times along the way, but fans’ support for it has been overwhelming. Regarding this beloved work coming to an end, original publisher Kadokawa Group Holdings had this to say: “We would certainly like you to witness this moment of the century that is engraved in history.”
