From April 5-12, the Akihabara culture café Schatzkiste displayed illustrations and plushies of the main character Wooser from Wooser’s Hand-to-Mouth Life as part of a special exhibit.
The concept of Schatzkiste is for guests to be able to experience Akihabara culture, so the café routinely holds exhibits that guests can enjoy alongside the café. A special menu was developed for the exhibit and works created by illustrator Tomoko Fujinoki were on display.
One item on the menu was the “Wooser Tart” for only 400 yen. Packed inside a cute ramekin was cookie dough and lemon custard that was presented in Wooser’s refreshing shade of yellow. Other items included the “Gold Wooser Jelly” and the “Torofuwa Tamago no Oyakodon,” a bowl of rice, chicken, and eggs themed after a scene from the original work. Further adding to the delight of fans were “Wooser’s Pranks,” which were displayed here and there inside the café.
