It has been announced that Blood Lad, a popular manga by Yuuki Kodama that is currently serialized in Monthly Young Ace, will become an anime. Currently, the seventh volume has sold a total of over 800,000 copies and the eighth volume was just released on April 4.

Shigeyuki Miya, who is known for directing Lupin III: Green Vs. Red, is directing the anime. Kenji Fujisaki, who is known for working on Battle Girls: Time Paradox, is in charge of the character designs. Kenji Kometa, who is known for working on Toshokan Senso, is in charge of the series composition. Brain’s Base, a Japanese animation studio, is in charge of the anime. Other Brain’s Base anime include the series Durarara!! and Natsume's Book of Friends.
Blood Lad is set in a demon world and features Staz, a vampire who loves the human world, especially Japanese culture. The action story follows Staz as he fights to bring a girl name Fuyumi back to life who became a ghost after being eaten by a monster.
