On Feb. 5, 2013, matching up with the start of the Sapporo Snow Festival, Family Mart released three Snow Miku collaboration sweets. Family Mart stores within Hokkaido also have many more Hatsune Miku related goods on sale.
The collaboration sweets have all been made in the image of this year’s white kimono-wearing Snow Miku. Three varieties of sweets are being sold: Miku Turkish delights (190 yen), Miku strawberry cheesecake (270 yen), and strawberry cake wrapped in mochi (250 yen). Each item’s package and show card also feature Snow Miku designs.
Snow Miku is a version of Hatsune Miku designed using the motif of snow. Since 2010, a new Snow Miku has been unveiled just in time for the yearly Sapporo Snow Festival. Since 2012, Snow Miku’s outfit has been selected by public vote. This year, the Japanese style “Strawberry White Kimono Miku” Snow Miku was born.
