The Dragon Quest series is one of the most famous RPG series in Japan. At more than 25 years old, the series has had a long history. The 2012 Wii game Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online is the 10th game in the series and the first to include online play.
With the release of the Wii U on Dec. 8, 2012, it has already been announced that a Wii U version of Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online is in the works. Now, new information has surfaced for the game regarding the use of the Wii U GamePad. The Wii U GamePad is the controller for the Wii U and features a screen display much like that of a tablet. You can even play games while looking solely at the controller’s screen. Dragon Quest X can also be played in this manner, essentially turning the game into a handheld one. Since the screen has high resolution, it’s easy to see the map and all of the game’s fine details.
Furthermore, a beta test for the Wii U version has been planned to begin sometime in February. Assuming that the beta test goes smoothly, the game should be released later this spring.
