Hyoue Ebata Sings Theme Song for PSP Game "One Piece Romance Dawn: The Dawn of the Adventure"

Hyoue Ebata, the vocalist for the band Triplane, sang "Eternal Waves", the theme song to the PSP game One Piece Romance Dawn: The Dawn of the Adventure, which was released on Dec. 20, 2012. Based on the themes of dreams, friendship, and growth, the meaningful song carries a strong message. Ebata, was selected by staff as having the most suited voice for the song. The band's previous hit single "Dear Friends" has gained great support from One Piece fans after it was used in scenes between the Strawhat Crew and Going Merry (Merry Go).

Ebata had this to say about singing the theme song:

I am very honored to be given such an opportunity. It's not only about participating in this project by singing, but it also feels different from usual, a little incredible, and I feel like there is a lot of fighting spirit and deep meaning in this song. I sang it while thinking of One Piece fans and the players of this game.

The second version of the game’s CM that used the theme song "Eternal Waves" began airing with the anime One Piece on Oct. 28, 2012. The CM has since been released on the official Youtube channel for NAMCO BANDAI Games.
