Otaku Demo the Latest Titles at Akiba PC Game Festa [2/2]

The entire event center was simply buzzing with fans’ enthusiasm and passion. Many fans crowded around the Phantasy Star Online 2 demo machines to weigh in with their opinions on the game and to have fervorous discussions with one another. Those who were demoing the game were just an energetic, and more than just lightheartedly enjoying the game, they really got into it!

Don’t be mistaken though, the event was not just about game exhibits and demos! There were also competitions. Below the assembly hall, the all-Japan tournament for Alliance of Valiant Arms was held. Alliance of Valiant Arms is a free FPS game that is popular in countries all over the world, including America, Japan, and South Korea. At the tournament, the overwhelmingly popular gaming team Detonator took first place, and it was announced that they would be appearing at the international tournament which will be held in Japan in February 2013. It was also announced that the runners up for the tournament, the gaming team CoolBoys, will also be appearing at the tournament in February. Many FPS gamers gathered to witness the tournament, and the atmosphere was electric until the very end.
