The movie is already nearing the 3 billion yen mark for box office earnings. A new project is also being undertaken for the massive hit. That project is the “Eva Unit 01 Reinforcement Project”.
The “Eva Unit 01 Reinforcement Project” is a collaboration with Nico Nico Live: Q in which the Nico Nico Eva Barrage Spec Car and a replica of Eva Unit 01 are taking a tour of movie theaters throughout the area around Tokyo. With the two meter tall Eva Unit 01 replica on display, this tour is sure to pack a punch. However, it’s not just a simple tour; at every stop there will be various missions prepared for guests to take part in. The tour began on Nov. 23 with a live broadcast called “Nico Nico Car Departs!!
