A Kabe-Don Lunchbox with Enough Impact to Make you Fall in Love
Donburi-mono - also known as a complete meal enclosed in a single container called the don - has its own place in Japanese culture, right? I wonder.
Then again, there is also that container called the jubako - ju for short - with all these different tiers and layers. It’s pretty much just like the don though.
It actually took me all the years of my youth to realize that there is a difference in the quality between the unagi-don and the unagi-ju.
What I also know now is that there is the phenomenon called the kabe-don, where a boy captures a girl as well as her heart between himself and a wall behind the girl. The whole thing is really cute, and the impact of the boy’s arm makes the wall go “don”, so I tried to capture the concept in my own don lunchbox.
