Special Footage: 50th Anniversary Feature Film “Gamera” Reboot

First announced in Kadokawa’s Tokusatsu Newtype in 2014, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the giant monster “Gamera” franchise, Kadokawa pictures will be releasing a reboot film of “Gamera”! On October 8, 2015, Kadokawa held a special exhibition for “Gamera” at New York Comic-Con where they released the above special short footage, as well as revealed that the film will be directed by Katsuhito Ishii. Although the film still lacks an official release date, it has been stated that the new film will have a tentative release in 2015. We cannot wait to see what other future exciting news will reveal for the comeback of this iconic character!
