Hasu-Ko
0 SUKI!
Hasu-Ko loved her betrothed so much, despite never having seen him, that she hastened her death. She took over her sister's body so that she could spend time with her lover. As her sister, Kei, Hasu-Ko spent a year with her fiance. In the interim, Kei's body grew sickly. Hasu-Ko took her betrothed to her ancestral home and told her parents that she would leave her sister's body, if they would agree to marry Kei to her fiance. The parents agreed and Hasu-Ko disappeared. Kei recovered and was happy to marry Hasu-Ko's lover. As the saying goes, they lived happily ever after. Hasu-Ko means "Lotus Child." I think it is obvious that I went heavy on the whole lotus flower motif. ^_^
