Usazakura

The season of beginnings. The scenery of spring.

Spring means the opening ceremony of Japanese schools in the midst of sakura in full bloom.
That is what first came to mind, so I used this as a theme while creating a world of my own filled with Japanese trinkets.

I created this illustration for use in the group exhibit “Shikisai” that I will participate in in April. For this piece I used transparent watercolors, acrylic gouache, watercolor paper, and several other items.
