The illustration is themed after the story of how Tawara Touta, a famous archer, was requested by the dragon god to get rid of a giant centipede.

Alluding to the process of iron making, is has been said that the legendary tale of the centipede and the dragon god is actually about the battle surrounding the Tatara method iron-making sites.
