Continuation of Silent Running

There’s an old sci-fi movie called Silent Running.
It depicts a story in a world where plants are sent out to space on ships to preserve the Earth's flora. At the end of the movie, a spacecraft is launched into the abyss of space, leaving the hands of human beings.
The plants fly off aimlessly through space while being looked after by a waddling robot inside a dome.
I love how the lone robot looks up from the dome in the end.
