In the previous world war, young people were forced to carry the burden of a conflict caused by adults, and stood on the battlefields. They charged into the deep, never to return.
Kaiten was a type of suicide weapon that was named in the hope that it would “change the world” and turn the tide of the war.
These are type 93, model 3 torpedoes remodelled into single-seaters with an overall length of 14,7m, diameter 1m. They are equipped with 1,5 tons of explosives in the pointed, and it hits the target with 55 knots.
They are “manned torpedoes”, controlled by people. And most of that crew consisted of young people.
We have to remember their history, these historical facts that are turning into legends.
In the silent depths of those memories, there used to be lives once.
