Four sisters
I was requested an illustration that shows poster girls in furisode (long-sleeved kimono).
I drew them dressed up for New Year.
Since the foremost important thing in a furisode is its pattern, I drew them by hand one by one while looking at photos of various kimono.
Basically, I designed the pattern of their kimono in a seasonal theme, which goes as Miya-chan (summer), Aya-chan (spring), Saya-chan (fall), and Maya-chan (winter) from left to right.
These four are poster girls of a website.
Thinking about the design of the pattern is a lot of fun, but actually drawing it is really hard.
I think I caught a small glimpse of the hardships of those who design furisode patterns.
