    Q&A

What got you to start your creative activities?

I always had an environment to draw, and the fact that I really liked to draw since I was little is my key to continuing to create to this day. After becoming a junior high school student, I started looking for differences in people, which made me want to draw even more!

What are you particular about in your work?

Ways of using of tools, their order, and style. I don't like following rules that were made by predecessors. Even if I have to take the long way around, I try to make things my own way. I believe that unexpected creations are born when my client's ideas merge together with my methods. This fusion is part of the fun.

How long does your work take to create?

If I have enough time in one day, I'm able to finish within five hours. However, for most of my work I draw when I take time from my schedule, so they take about three days.

When do you come up with ideas for your work?

When I watch TV or gaze at photo books.
Ideas come to me when I feel something is ”lovely” or "kawaii."
Antique markets are treasure troves of themes.
