DOKIDOKI♥Toxxxic Hospital
♥ Does your heart flutter? That’s a condition you can’t fix with medicine and bandages. ♥
This picture came about from an attempt to make something that combined a sexy girl with a crazy use of color. I’ve heard that the Japanese term “doki doki” is understood by English speakers, so I used it in the logo. I really like this piece, with its color and composition.

Dreamin Dreamin
A lavender sky, pink clouds, unicorns running through the sky, stuffed animals that talk to you. My artistic point of view all started with this picture. I used to have a completely different artistic style, but then the words “take them to a dream world” popped up in my head, and that’s what I drew. Creating this stargazing young girl like the ones found in old shoujo manga, I feel that I found exactly what I now like drawing most.

I’m from Hiroshima Prefecture and a graduate of the textile design course in the Department of Fine Arts at the Hijiyama University Junior College.

Creator Interview

What do you pay closest attention to in your work?

I am very particular about how I draw hair and how I do shadows.
Also, I make sure to draw hands and legs that are feminine and pretty.

How long does one picture take?

It depends on its quality, but with Illustrator, on average it takes six hours for the rough draft, and then eight hours from line art to completion. For an acrylic painting on A4-size paper, it takes about one day from start to finish, including drying time.
