This is the third and final installment of the interview with the developers of the open world action-adventure video game, “Yakuza 5”. This time, the developers answer more questions asked by fans on Twitter, and close with some of their own thoughts on the game.

“Yakuza 5” is the fifth main entry in the “Yakuza” series, and while it was released in 2012 in Japan, it is finally being released in the US and Europe in 2015! (While the release date is not yet set, it is expected to release in the fall.) The game follows an engaging storyline involving the crimes and happenings in the underground society. In-game, you can play as either the main character, Kazuma Kiryu, or a range of other characters, and are able to roam the city and engage in fights, go to hostess bars, karaoke, and much more!

According to the developers, compared to the previous games in the Yakuza series, “Yakuza 5” is definitely the most representative of contemporary Japan, packed with things that are popular, big, and common in Japan today: baseball, idol culture, arcades… So much so that people who have never been to Japan can take it as a pretty accurate depiction of what Japan is like. If you love a good adventure and want to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary Japan, keep your eyes peeled for that US & Europe release date!
