OtapediaRokuro - Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)

Rokuro (轆轤) was a member of the Twelve Demon Moons in the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) series, having held the position of Lower Moon Two.

Appearance

Rokuro is a character that looks like an old man. However he has a stocky and firm build. His skin color is very pale and full of black vein-like patterns on his face. This pattern continues on his arms and legs. He had dark and long purple hair that was let down freely with a short stubble beard. Like all other Demons he has golden cat-like eyes with the kanji for the ‘Lower Moon Two’ etched into his left eye. He was seen to be wearing something similar to a typical karate gi.

Personality

Like the other Lower Moons, Muzan Kibutsuji was respected and feared by Rokuro as his master. After witnessing Muzan after destroying nearly every Lower Moon, Rokuro became clearly terrified that the same would happen to him, and resorted to asking his leader for more blood to boost his power so that he would not perish, displaying quite a timid temperament. Nonetheless, Rokuro seemed to be very optimistic in the abilities of his ability as a Demon, believing that if he got just a little more of Muzan's blood, he would definitely be able to become a strong fighter capable of being in the ranks of the Twelve Demon Moons, which demonstrated that he had tremendous dedication and enthusiasm for his position.

Synopsis

Muzan emerges before them in his female form after all of the other Lower Moons join together at the Dimensional Infinity Fortress. Of annoyance he points at them and asks them to lower their heads and bend down before him. Mukago utters after all of them that she's sorry she was asked to sit, because she didn't recognize Muzan in his present form. Muzan aggressively demands how she speaks without authorization, asking her to quiet herself, and not to answer, unless she has asked a question explicitly. As she cowers at her feet in fear, Muzan goes on to explain Rui's death, the only Lower Moon who wasn't among those gathered before him, and asks the remaining Demons what they lack in strength.

Muzan is lecturing them on how to be in the ranks of the Twelve Demon Moons is not the end; it's just the beginning of what is to come. He explains that their primary purpose is to collect blood so that they can be useful to him. Muzan answers aggressively that hundreds of years have elapsed since the Upper Moons were last replaced, yet the Lower Moons are continuously being updated, to which Kamanue assumes that. Capable of reading the thoughts of those with whom he has exchanged blood, Muzan aggressively tells Kamanue why they couldn't be telling that, extending his arm into a tentacle to catch the Lower Moon by his throat and raise him into the air. Kamanue attempts to apologise but Muzan consumes everything immediately while Wakuraba and the majority of the Lower Moons keep their heads down in shocked silence.

First, Wakuraba thinks to himself that he will also be destroyed, and he has to do more to preserve his place as a Lower Moon, and, at the same moment, Mukago talks about how she runs from the very presence of a Pillar each time. Muzan expresses both of their feelings loudly, and a frightened Mukago exclaims that what she feels is not real, and that she is going to fight for him with her life on the line. Muzan asks her why she doubts what he was doing, and as Mukago starts to apologise and cry, another bout of Muzan's tentacles crushes her down to the ground and destroys her.

Shocked by this, Wakuraba instantly assumes the worst, and decides that if he wanted to keep his life, it would be a wiser choice to flee than remain. He dashes at a high speed out of the Castle, and Enmu thinks to himself that this has been a foolish move to make since Muzan is going to kill him either way. That hypothesis turned out to be right when Wakuraba's head is cut off so easily that it leaves him questioning how he even perished in his last few moments.
Rokuro panics as one of the two Lower Moons left alive, exclaiming that if he just defers his demise for a little while he will surely still be beneficial to Muzan. Muzan asks how effective he would be, how long the repayment would last, and how much strength he could possess as he was, and Rokuro suggests that if he had more of Muzan's blood, he might change it and certainly become a strong warrior deserving of his ruler. Angrily, Muzan tosses Wakuraba's head down next to Enmu and Rokuro, telling Lower Moon Two why more blood should be offered and claiming he should know where he stands. As Rokuro tries to protest, Muzan silences him and states that, since he had attempted to instruct his leader, Rokuro deserves to die a swift judgement.

Abilities and Powers

  • Demon Abilities - Rokuro's strength and weaknesses are not known as a Demon, but since he was selected as one of the Twelve Demon Moons' Lower Moons, it can be inferred that he had greater powers than the regular Demons, and that he was superior to Kamanue, Rui, Mukago, and Wakuraba as he was offered the position above them.
  • Growth potential - The power of a single Demon depends almost entirely as to how many humans they have killed, and they could also grow stronger by consuming extra blood through Muzan, which is how the Twelve Demon Moons acquired their immense strength. Though, certain Demons have a restriction on how much they can use to grow stronger, and may not be comfortable with a greater amount.
  • Immortality - Demons embody eternal life and can live for generations, if they are incredibly strong, sometimes even longer. They can not die by conventional methods, but can be killed by light from the sun or at one of the unique Nichirin Blades of the Demon Slayer Corps. Muzan's blood.
  • Regeneration - All lower level Demons possess the same strengths of regeneration, and only being able to be killed by sunlight or being decapitated by a nichirin blade.
