SAO Stage Event Held at Japan Expo 2016 in France July 7-10
In early July, a Sword Art Online stage event was held at Japan Expo 2016, the largest Japanese pop culture event in Europe!
SAO fans from not only France but all around Europe gathered in the event hall. More than 4,000 people attended making it the largest stage event of Japan Expo.
During the two-hour stage show, fans were wound up in overwhelming excitement as new products based on the original light novel and games were introduced, a video message from director Tomohiko Ito was shared, and the latest promotional video (French language ver.) for the anime film was played.
SAO was all around the event hall at various company booths!
The exhibit area introducing the new video game Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization was also a success.
At the booth for the VoD site WAKANIM, Kirito and Asuna greeted fans in France-exclusive outfits.
With the film releasing next spring, we hope the SAO fever heats up even more in Europe too!
