They got me this time...

There's one reason why I am resisting watching the Fate series and this figure completely evaded it and snuck its way into my Detolf. There are so many Saber figures out there that I knew if I watched the series I would probably end up buying more and more and I'd have to dedicate a Detolf to them like I have (And then some) my Mikus. My problem is, I absolutely adore dresses and all the images of this one sucked me in until I eventually caved.

Backstory aside, I don't regret this purchase whatsoever. The dress is absolutely beautifully sculpted and the entire design, from the deep, dark violet to the silver accents, and the pose itself, whether arm up or with sword, ...

Definitely cute

Cute Miku with a huge flag, hair that becomes transparent, and a pose that'd make a girlfriend jealous (hahaha what girlfriend?), what isn't there to like? You buy this because you know what you want, and that's a space princess with flowy hair, a ruffled skirt, and the zettai.

And to those who have trouble getting the pole in the hands- ha- warm water may help but all I did was slide it first through the bottom hand, and then applied force on the top hand (not the arm, the hand directly) straight down with the poll standing completely straight against a surface that it won't slip (carpet in my case). So long as keep the poll vertical and back off to correct it i...

Upon seeing this figure, I wondered if something as "raw" as this would be up my alley or not. I mostly stick to the cuter side of things, and cute is something I'd say this is most definitely not. After seeing a youtube review and doing some price researching, I pulled the trigger and I can say that I'm fully satisfied with what I receive.

The outfit would be considered skimpy if it wasn't for everything else shouting for minimalism. Any visible skin is sculpted as if tight against muscle or bone. From the slight abs and ribs to her collar bone and shoulder blades, it all shows deliberate placement facilitating movement. Even her right calve is sculpted (su...

Not seeing a big wig name like Alter or Max Factory backing something may cause some wariness, but Aoshima is something in their own right. Rather than a bright, vibrant figure indicative of the former two, Aoshima's colors are softer, and not 100% consistent in the case of Syaro's clothing. The whites aren't as white as in the photos, but I think that's perfectly fine. The inconsistency of the peaks and valleys of her clothing give an almost rustic feel that'd be fitting of the setting of GochiUsa in an older cafe (despite Fleur de Lapin being arguably more trendy). Would it have been nicer if the whites were pure? Probably, but you can't win 'em all. The...Read moreClose

Solid figure

I'm a sucker for ribbons, frills, and bows and that's what this figure has... a lot of. The soft pastel blues and pearl whites compliment each other and the orange accent. The clothing and her hair are just as shiny as in the pictures (not a bad thing, I like it since it's consistent all over. Some people complain about the yellow, uninspiring Max Factory base and to that I slightly agree. Would have been better if they just used a clear base like in the preview photos, but it's not enough for me to think less of the figure itself. The yellow is also pastel in tone so it fits the blue well enough.
