The new series is made from a different type of material from the usual Figure Builders, and most likely painted by a different manufacturer as well. First of all, the paint is more glossy, with less details. It looks more painted by an actual brush than the previous airbrushed series. Second, the figures are a little larger than the previous Figure Builders. Third, the material feels more durable and stuff. The parts fit together and stay in place, unlike the previous Figure Builders that feel more fragile or prone to warping from heat. These still have the same interlocking base as other series.

The body is made mainly of new polyester material, including the egg. His feet, and crown are made of stiff felt, while the brown part of his beak is made of some sort of cotton. The plush can stretch and squish. Its about the size of an adult hand. Really cute and lovable. I wish the brown part of his beak were made of the same soft material however. It does stick to velcro which can lead to hilarious photos.

I bought this to match the black melynx hoodie I bought before. The package arrived quickly and was in amazing condition packing wise and product wise. The inside of the hoodie has very soft material. The size was perfect and it is a nice medium weight jacket for cold or windy situations.
