These are sown into the base but can be easily taken out. The display is cute though and representative of a traditional Hinamatsuri stand so I wouldn't take them out. The base can be taken out of the stand though if you need to dust them or something. I was afraid the hats and accessories might be cheaply glued on but the hats are sown on and the accessories are sturdy. Very well made.
