Spider-Man is the alter ego of ordinary, geeky teenage boy Peter Parker who is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider and later finds himself to be developing super powers including the ability to fire webs from his wrists. Now one of Marvel Comic’s most famous superheroes, Spider-Man was created by comic book legends Stan Lee and Steve Ditko making his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962.

The star of everything from Saturday morning cartoons to blockbuster movies and even a Japanese tokusatsu show, Spider-Man is an integral part of the Marvel universe and has faced many terrifying enemies over the years including Dr. Octopus, Sandman, Lizard, The Green Goblin, Kingpin, Hobgoblin, Venom, and Carnage among countless others while he also holds down a day job as a reporter and photojournalist at the Daily Bugle.
