Monogatari Series Merchandise
About the Series
Written by the light novel author Nisio Isin (stylized NisiOisiN) and illustrated by the Taiwanese illustrator Vofan, the Monogatari series is an ongoing avant-garde, occult detective, romantic comedy packed with beautiful dialogue and wit that has made it a favorite among fans. It was first created as a series of short stories for Mephisto magazine. As of December 2016, Kodansha has published 21 novels since November 2006. Each story of the series tends to introduce only one new character.

Series Synopsis
High schooler Koyomi Araragi finds himself caught up in the supernatural time and time again. After a mysterious summer encounter where he is turned into a vampire, he is able to get (mostly) cured by the strange Oshino, but things only get more challenging from there as he meets a series of girls troubled by different “oddities.”
Fan-Favorite Characters
Yotsugi Ononoki: An emotionless human corpse tsukumogami and the shikigami familiar of Yozuru Kagenui.
Shinobu Oshino: A mysterious vampire girl formerly a human child princess cursed with causing anyone in her proximity to commit suicide. She become the powerful vampire named Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade, but after losing her powers her name and appearance changed again.
Nadeko Sengoku: Tsukihi Araragi's childhood friend and an acquaintance of Tsukihi's brother Koyomi Araragi. She was a victim of a painful curse that caused an invisible snake to coil around her and manifest scars that resemble snake scales.
Hitagi Senjougahara: Also nicknamed Gahara. She is a third-year student of Naoetsu Private High School, is distant from others, and has an “incurable disease.”
Ougi Oshino: A mysterious character whose gender is undetermined and who is a first year student at Naoetsu Private High School. She is seen most often smiling and talking in a somewhat condescending tone.
Tsubasa Hanekawa: Known as an overachiever, she is Koyomi Araragi's classmate, close friend, and a class representative in Naoetsu Private High School. She has an alternative self called Black Hanekawa which has a personality opposite of hers - playful, shameless, and sharp-tongued.
Mayoi Hachikuji: A ghost of a fifth-grade elementary school girl who was killed in a traffic accident while trying to reach her mother's home. Since her death, she has been haunting people who possess an urge to avoid going home.
