Danboard Figures & Merchandise

Danboard, sometimes known as Danbo, is the cute little cardboard robot from the world of Yotsuba &! created by Kiyohiko Azuma! Actually, Danboard isn’t really a robot at all but a character created by 5-year-old Yotsuba Koiwai’s friend Miura Hayasaka and made out of cardboard boxes, but Yotsuba is convinced he’s really real!

Since appearing in chapter 28 of the manga, Danboard has gone on to become a hugely popular character in his own right starring in photo books including Arielle Nadel’s 365 Days of Danboard and sparking a craze for photographs of Danboard figures posed in cute and interesting scenes uploaded by fans from all over the world.

As well as becoming his own internet meme, Danboard has also featured in a wide range of electronic goods including spare smartphone batteries, USB hubs and cables which make fantastic use of Danboard’s light-up eyes. Of course there’s a host of more cuddly Danboard merchandise too from plushies and cushions to tote bags and T-shirts so you really can have Danboard with you every day!
