“Garakowa -Restore the World-” New Visual and Teaser Posted

The latest news has been revealed for the movie Glass no Hana to Kowasu Sekai (officially titled Garakowa -Restore the World- in English) to be released in Japan on Jan. 9, 2016. First up is a new key visual. Here, fans can check out the three main female characters. Music for the movie is being handled by composer Masaru Yokoyama. A portion of the music can be heard in the new trailer available now to stream. With half a year left until the movie’s release, things are finally starting to get moving.

Garakowa -Restore the World- is a new original anime based on the award-winning D.backup, which won the Anime-ka Taisho award in 2013. This movie project is being ambitiously undertaken.

The story focuses on the three main characters drawn in the new key visual—Remo, Dual, and Dorothy—and begins with Dual and Dorothy rescuing Remo from being attacked by “Viruses.” Remo suffers from amnesia and aside from her name and the memory of “having to return to the flower patch” can’t remember anything. Keep your attention on this story as it continues to be unraveled from here on.

In other news, Masaru Yokoyama has been welcomed onto the staff as the music composer. Beginning with Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace and Plastic Memories, Yokoyama has created music for countless anime series. With his experience of also having created music for movies and TV dramas as well, the series is being anticipated for its music too. With the release of the teaser, this is the first chance for fans to see the world of the anime.

Advance tickets to the movie went on sale July 18. They are being sold at theaters that will screen the movie, which include Shinjuku Wald 9, Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro, and others. A deluxe, sparkly clear file drawn by original character designer Kantoku is included with advance tickets as a bonus item. Tickets cost 1,500 yen (tax included).

The movie is being directed by Masashi Ishihama of From the New World fame. It is being written by Fumihiko Shimo and produced by A-1 Pictures.
