Check out this list of trailers that TOM has put together of the new October lineup and start making your anime viewing plans. In this first installment, we’ll cover the trailers for 10 promising school, comedy, and slice of life anime!
Shirobako
This anime focuses on five different girls as they chase their dreams within the anime industry. The title, Shirobako, comes from the white box of videotapes that are passed out to staff after an animation is completed. Through the struggles of these five characters, this series is sure to offer a unique glimpse into the anime industry!
Amagi Brilliant Park
A mysterious and beautiful transfer student Isuzu Sento forcibly invites main character Seiya Kanie on a date, and takes him to...a run down amusement park? Dilapidated and with shoddy service, Amagi Brilliant Park is Japan’s most unfortunate amusement park. Seiya is, for some reason, entrusted with the task of bringing the park back to life!
Orenchi no Furo Jijou
High school student Tatsumi is enjoying the single life in his apartment until one day a handsome merman, Wakasa, suddenly shows up in his tub! Follow the daily life and interactions of the selfish and clumsy freeloader, Wakasa, and his cool but attentive host, Tatsumi, in this new anime series!
Denkigai no Honya-san
This adolescent love comedy takes place the comic book store Umanohone located in an electronic goods district. It follows the eccentric bunch of hardcore manga fans that work there, their relationships, and their various obsessions in the world of manga.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san
Self-proclaimed “doll," Kohina Ichimatsu, uses some suspicious seance to summon forth a fox named Kokkuri-san. While he’s supposed to haunt her, Kokkuri-san ends up taking pity on the lonely Kohina and decides to devote himself to helping her. Follow the adventures of this strange girl and her “foxy” companion, along with the other animals they sometimes encounter, in this supernatural and lighthearted anime!
Ino Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de
Just six months ago, Jurai Ando and the other four members of the Literature Club discovered they had unprecedented superpowers. The only problem is, their everyday peaceful lives don’t call for any special powers! Sora no Method
This anime is set in Kiriyako-cho, a town which has a mysterious disc floating above it. When it first appeared, the disc caused mass panic and chaos, but after it just floated there without doing anything, people became unafraid and even uninterested in it. Nonoka Miyako returns to Kiriyako-cho for the first time in seven years and meets a mysterious girl named Noel. This last year of middle school for Nonoka is sure to be an unforgettable one.

Yuki Yuna is a normal second-year middle school student…aside from the fact that she’s a member of her school’s special Hero Club! What is this strange Hero Club exactly?
