Okay, let’s move on to an actual explanation. You may have heard of something called Golden Week, a period where several national holidays in Japan line up, giving a lot of us the opportunity to take quite a long vacation - or even longer, if you plan it right! It kicks off every year on April 29th with Showa Day, a holiday commemorating the birthday of Emperor Showa. The last holiday of the bunch is Children’s Day on May 5th, but what many people will do is use their vacation days to bridge the gap between then and the next weekend. In fact, anyone doing that this year will get an 11-day holiday, if you can believe it!
Whether you're somewhere in Japan or in a completely different country, one thing we can all agree on is that we definitely need some downtime. It doesn’t matter if you’re an otaku for anime, games, music, or something that’s not typically “otaku” - it’s always important to take a step back and just enjoy yourself!

The latest from Kotobukiya’s Megami Device line of mecha battle girl figures is none other than this re-release of Asra Tamamo no Mae! Based on Asra Archer, Tamamo no Mae includes a new set of parts themed after “Asra Nine-Tails” and features a darker skin tone with armor parts featuring Shinto motifs. Included are three newly designed face parts as well as interchangeable parts to display her armored or unarmored, and a variety of weapons so you can enjoy tons of combat scenes. As with all Megami Device figures, she makes use of 3mm joints compatible with the M.S.G. accessory series, the Frame Arms Girl series, and the Frame Arms series, so your customization options are limitless!
A new collaboration between the popular social game Alice Gear Aegis and Kotobukiya’s Megami Device line of mecha battle girl figures is here! Introducing Aika Aikawa in her Jin’ ai form! Designed by Fumikane Shimada, the figure has a renewed body and is the first figure to feature her in her Ace Suit V from the game.
She comes with three new faces and front hair parts to more faithfully capture her look from the game, plus a newly molded clear green SP as well as a variety of gear including a rifle and hammer so you can create various combat scenes. She also comes with interchangeable parts so you can recreate her armored and unarmored look, and she comes with a bonus drone in a new color. As with all Megami Device figures, she makes use of 3mm joints compatible with the M.S.G. accessory series, the Frame Arms Girl series, and the Frame Arms series, so your customization options are limitless!

From Kotobukiya’s palm-sized Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale series of small plastic models with unparalleled sculpting and movement comes an Architect figure based on artwork by Fumikane Shimada! The 3” figure is fully articulated with 20 points of articulation, features color-molded parts and pre-painted face parts so it can be assembled without any additional painting, and comes equipped with two Impact Knuckles. Design Coco has outdone himself again with a masterful sculpture of Mari Makinami from the hit series Rebuild of Evangelion! Mari-chan is looking particularly saucy in her trademark red glasses and a form-fitting camouflage tank top. Her blue jacket is pulled down off her shoulders, so it must be getting pretty warm. Now this is a figure that definitely deserves to be in a product line called Artist Masterpiece! It's a 2021 birthday figure featuring Hatsune Miku. Omedetou!
