Hi there and welcome to Tokyo Otaku Mode’s second Weekly Figure Roundup!
Time has really flown by - can you believe we’re almost at the halfway mark for March? Just before that, though, we at the TOM Shop will be enjoying a sweet holiday that you might have already heard of from anime, dramas or other content set in Japan. Have you already guessed it? Yup, it’s White Day! In short, on March 14 (a month after Valentine’s Day), it’s time for the guys to give gifts to their girlfriend/wife, as well as female friends, classmates, coworkers and so on in return for whatever they received on Valentine’s.
Traditionally, these gifts were white things like white chocolate and marshmallows. But of course, it’s not an iron-clad tradition, with lots of people nowadays choosing to simply give something they think the recipient would enjoy. That definitely includes non-edible things too, like (anime-themed) jewelry, (figure) accessories, and even trips (to Japan…?). Okay, that was extremely unsubtle, but you get the gist!
