A new visual for the upcoming live action drama of Saint Young Men has been revealed!
Main actors Matsuyama Kenichi (as Jesus) and Sometani Shouta (as Buddha) can be seen in character dining at their coffee table, a familiar sight to fans of the manga. Though there is no trailer out yet, a newly released official VR video lets fans experience daily life alongside Jesus and Buddha!
The live action drama is directed by Fukuda Yuichi and produced by Yamada Takayuki. Saint Young Men is originally a manga by Nakamura Hikaru and has been serialized in Kodansha’s Morning 2 since 2006, with over 16 million copies printed worldwide. The series follows the cohabitation of Jesus and Buddha as they share a small apartment in Tachikawa, Tokyo.
The Saint Young Men live action drama is slated to premiere in Aug. 2018 on Piccoma TV.
