One Piece Stage Show to Dramatise the Epic East Blue Saga!

One Piece is headed to the stage in a brand new musical and performance extravaganza!

Titled One Piece Otoutage, the performance is inspired by the franchise’s East Blue Saga, in which Luffy first meets Shanks and creates the Straw Hats Pirates.

Using wind instruments and percussion, the musicians will move about the stage while actors playing the much loved characters including Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, and Nami will perform a dynamic mix of action and dance. The cast will consist of 35 performers from Japan and America selected through a tough process of auditions.

Composer Tanaka Kouhei, who was in charge of the TV anime’s first opening “We Are”, will direct the show and handle the musical score. As well as a selection of familiar music from the series rearranged for the stage, the show will also feature anime videos and dynamic lighting.

Set to open this summer, tickets for One Piece Ototage are available for priority sales from Feb. 10. For more information, visit the official website.
