Sailor Moon Returns as High Impact Song and Dance Show!

Sailor Moon is set to return to the stage yet again with a show set to open in Paris in 2018!

The original manga by Takeuchi Naoko began running in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi in 1991, quickly becoming an international phenomenon. In 1993 the franchise was adapted into a stage musical which was restaged in 2013 as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. The musical then toured outside of Japan, hitting Shanghai in 2015 and Huston’s Anime Festival in 2017.

Back again for the 25th anniversary, the revamped stage show also celebrates the 160th anniversary of Japanese/French friendship as part of the wider “Japonismes 2018” project which will include a number of Japanese cultural events taking place in the French capital next summer.
